Our Client
 

Our client is a leading and prestigious global investment company with offices in Hong Kong, Singapore, London, Jersey and Cayman Islands. They have been in business since 2014 after successfully spinning off from a major New York-based hedge fund.

They are currently looking for an organized, efficient and energetic HR/People Administrator to support their Asia regional offices.
 

About the Role
 

Located in Hong Kong or Singapore, this role will stay abreast all labor regulations in the subsequent jurisdictions and work alongside a global administrative team to assist with all aspects of the people administration, coordinating with other teams (admins/EAs /legal & compliance) for people admin activity in the Asia time zone.
 

Job Responsibilities
 

Onboarding, Offboarding, and Transfer Processes:

  • Organize new joiner calls, send new starter forms to new joiner and to HR broker to set up payroll and new work stations

  • Liaise with benefits broker to set up benefits enrolment for new joiner/terminate benefits for leaver (medical, dental, life insurance, pension)

  • Coordinating reference checks, ID verification, obtaining reference letters, scheduling training and orientation and ensure all necessary documents are in place

  • For Hong Kong leavers/relocations: occasionally liaise with the Internal Revenue Department regarding tax clearance paperwork

  • Handle full scale of onboard and offboarding of new joiners and leavers
     

Visas:

  • Working with external visa consultants to apply, renew and cancel visas for new joiners, transfers, and departures

  • Help with compliance with regional employment requirements

General People Admin:

  • Adding and maintaining employee information in HR systems

  • Liaise with relevant authorities for visa and employment inquiries, and coordinating with compliance for relevant regulatory reporting and submissions

  • Assisting with internal staff transfers and relocations

  • Coordinate letter requests from employees (rental reimbursement, employment verification, references, etc.)

  • Ensuring staff work visas, EPs and other documents are renewed in a timely manner
     

About You
 

  • Finance background not necessary

  • Relevant working experience in HR, people management or administration

  • At least a few years working experience in similar or relevant roles

  • Willingness to learn and be collaborative

  • Organized, detail-oriented and a great communicator

  • Dedicated to providing administrative excellence 

  • Right to work in Hong Kong or Singapore
